In what will be an Australian first, the 1000kg trailer comes with built-in control, automation, monitoring, and communications to facilitate and enhance ease-of-use for the operator, chain-of-custody management and protection and safety layers increased. Utilizing purpose-built extra-large, type 4 carbon fibre transport cylinders these lighter, stronger tubes allow up to 3 x the amount of hydrogen able to be transported or stored compared to current steel options. Advances in carbon fibre winding allows for increased fibre strength resulting in less product used allowing for cost reductions of the cylinders. To accompany the trailer, H2 Hauler are also designing and manufacturing a filling panel to allow controlled fast filling of tube trailers. This customized piece of equipment increases the safety and efficiency of the trailer filling process.
